Become a Zora’s Garden “Garden Bed”
Bring Zora’s Garden to Your Learning Space
A Garden Bed is a school, organization, or community space where Zora’s Garden books are planted and shared with children through collective reading and storytelling.
By becoming a Garden Bed, your space may receive donated copies of Zora’s Garden through the Zora’s Garden Book Drive. Once books arrive, your site is invited to schedule a virtual author visit, creating a shared storytelling experience inspired by the life and legacy of Zora Neale Hurston.
Garden Beds include schools, libraries, community organizations, cultural centers, camps, and other places where children gather to learn, imagine, and grow together.
Participation is based on available donations and funding, and placement is not guaranteed.
The Zora’s Garden Book Drive is a community-powered literacy initiative inspired by the life and legacy of Zora Neale Hurston, one of the most influential writers and storytellers in American history
